After 20 years of involvement in international missions, John and Trudy Cathy White saw a need for godly leadership among the next generation of Christian adults. Driven by the concern that Christian young people leave their homes for college unprepared for the challenges they will face in the secular world, John and Trudy founded Lifeshape, Inc. in 2003 to facilitate the development of godly women and men shaped by a passionate walk and authentic personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Lifeshape's purpose is to mobilize students to break the cycle of spiritual poverty throughout the world. When young Christian adults arrive at college, they are bombarded with advocates of secular humanism and other misguided worldviews, and they are unable to explain their faith, much less defend it. Many of these youth are unprepared for such a cultural shift in ideas and lifestyle, and choose to abandon their faith before they finish college.
The founders, board of directors, and staff of Lifeshape desire to help students find solid footing in their faith and a deeper understanding of God's truth so that they can live a life that exemplifies what it means to be a Christ-follower. We are dedicated to leading young people to demonstrate to the world that Christianity is a worldview that provides answers to all of the challenges they will face in life. Lifeshape exists to equip students who will proclaim the gospel and have a heart for the lost peoples of the world, and whose godly example will influence future generations.
Lifeshape is proud to underwrite IMPACT 360 a nine-month residential program that will prepare high school graduates for their college experience, and for the rest of their lives. Please follow the links to find out more about these adventures, and contact us if you have any questions.
